1. Introduction

Welcome to Onpu ("we," "our," or "us"). By downloading or using our mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Nature of the App (The "Tool" Clause)

Onpu is strictly a linguistic analysis and study tool.

  • No Content Provided: The App does not provide, distribute, or sell lyrics or musical content. You, the user, are solely responsible for sourcing the text you input into the App.
  • Personal Use Only: You agree to use the App solely for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes (e.g., language learning).
  • Copyright Responsibility: You warrant that you have the right to view and analyze any text you paste into the App. We do not monitor user inputs and disclaim all liability for copyright infringement resulting from your usage.

3. AI Services and Accuracy

The App uses third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) providers (Google Gemini) to generate translations, furigana, and mnemonic explanations.

  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: AI is experimental and may produce errors, "hallucinations," or incorrect translations. We do not guarantee the linguistic accuracy of the outputs.
  • Study Aid Only: The App is a study aid. Translations are generated automatically and should be verified against other sources if being used for professional or academic purposes.
  • Service Changes: We reserve the right to switch AI providers or modify features at any time without notice.

4. User Accounts and CloudKit

  • iCloud Sync: Your data (saved songs, vocabulary) is stored in your personal iCloud container via Apple CloudKit. We do not have direct access to your private database.
  • Data Loss: We are not responsible for data loss caused by iCloud sync errors, device failure, or third-party service outages.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • The App is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind.
  • We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if anything) in the past 12 months.

6. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
